I had a vision in mind for the Avocado High Chair Banner I wanted for Aiden but I couldn’t find it anywhere! So I decided to make my own! This is something you might not know about me but I live for DIY projects, I just haven’t had much time lately. This banner was super easier to make! The most time consuming part was letting the paint dry.
Here is what you will need
- Dark Green Felt (I used the color Apple Green)
- Light Green Felt (I used the color Neon Green
- Brown Felt ( I used the color Goldenrod)
- Hot glue gun
- Banner
- Letter stencils
- Gold spray paint
- Dark Green Ribbon
- Light green & neon green ribbon (these are both from Michaels and I couldn’t find the online
Green spray paint(I actually ended up cutting out the letters instead of spray painting them onto the banner)- Scissors
Now on to making the banner
1 Spray Paint the Banner
The banner I purchased came in a set of 15, so before spray painting it I measure the length of rope I would need based on the high chair we have. The banner already came attached with rope. I used 3 panels of the banner
2 Make your avocado
First I looked for an image of an avocado on google ( I included the image I used below) and printed 3 copies of it and cut out the 3 sizes we needed for the avocado.
I actually printed the initial image several times using the scale on the print screen until I found the size I wanted.
3. Cut out the letters
I was originally planning on using the stencils to spray paint the letters on the banner, but I realized that the green paint will probably bleed through, so I decided to cut out the letters using the same dark green felt instead.
4. Glue the letters to the banner
Once the banner was completely dry I glued the letters and the avocado using the hot glue gun. Be careful not to put too much glue or it will show.
5. Add your ribbon
I picked three shades of green for the ribbon similar to the colors of the avocado and you just tie it onto the banner ! And thats it !

What a cute idea! I love the theme for the party and this seems easy enough that I could do it myself. Thanks for sharing!
