So I recently realized that I am a grown up now and its probably time for me to step up my skincare routine and start using stuff like eye creams and serums?? Well I wasn’t sure where to start so what better way to research than instagram! I knew that I wanted something free of harsh chemicals, paragons and synthetic fragrance.

That’s when I came across this brand Drunk elephant. I will admit that their super cute packaging attracted me to them at first. So I started researching and reading lots of reviews and seemed quite promising! Thats when I decided to take the plunge and purchase “The Littles” a set of 8 travel size drunk elephant products available at Sephora HERE. Which was perfect! I got to try their products without  shelling out the cash for the full size without knowing if this would work for me.  I also went ahead and purchased the Umbra Tinte Physical daily defense and T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial since these two were not included in the kit.

Since I have not used these products very long this is just a first impression review. This is simply my opinion on how my skin felt and looked after using the products. Remember what might work amazing on me might be horrible for your skin, but you don’t know until you try! so if you’ve been thinking about giving this a try “ The Littles” is a perfect way to try it out. Once I’ve used these products for a few months I will give an in-depth review.

Full size Jar 50ML / 1.69 FL OZ retails for $60

First impression: when I first saw it I was like oh this is going to be way to greasy and thick for my skin! I thought this was going to feel heavy and leave my skin looking like I smothered fried chicken all over it ! Well it turns out I was totally wrong, definitely judged a book by its cover. This cream is rich and creamy without leaving your face looking greasy. I also love that this is silicone free and has no fragrance.

Will I purchase again? yes I will! love how it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on my face

Full size 4 OZ retails for $28

First impression: Using this the first time I did feel mild exfoliating, it left my face feeling clean and not dry. I did put it directly on my face, but that was before I read the instruction not to do that lol. It didn’t seem to effect me but it probably would be too harsh on my face I consistently use the bar directly on my face. According to the directions this should not be used more than 3 times a week

Will I purchase this again? Possibly, I do love how clean my skin feels after using it, I’m just not a big fan of bar soaps.

Full size 4 OZ retails for $28

First impression:This bar lathered into a creamy consistency, made my skin feel smooth and moisturized. Definitely did not dry out my face

Will I purchase this again? Probably not only because I am not a fan of bar face wash, not because I did not like the product. But this would be perfect for traveling.

Full size 30ML retails for $72 / Small size 15ML retails for $40

First Impression: I loved that this was not a super thick oil it felt moisturizing. Ive only used this at night right after using T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Night Serum. I haven’t used this during the day because it leaves my face looking too shiny, although this could be easily fixed using a setting powder, which I’ve done with other oils ives used on my face. Heres one of my favorites (URBAN DECAY MATT). Ive recently started using face oils the last couple of months and I am a big fan.

Will I purchase again? Possibly, the price is quite steep compared to some other marula face oil I’ve seen so id have to do some research comparing them.

Full Size 50ML retails for $134 / Small size 30ML retails for $90

From their website this is a 12% AHA/BHA serum for night that helps refine and resurface skin to reveal a smoother and more radiant looking complexion.

First impression: When I first applied this I feel a light tingling sensation, I was afraid that this was going to burn and that my skin would not be able to tolerate it, but that wasn’t the case. I followed this with the marula oil at night before going to bed. I have noticed less bumps on my forehead, but I would have to use this for a bit longer to see how effective it is for my skin.  According to their website you should not use products with retinol or retinoids while using this.

Will I purchase again? Yes I definitely will. I loved how smooth my skin felt and looked after using it for a couple of days.

Full size 50ML retails for $52

First Impression: This a gel like consistency, absorbed very quickly into my skin, definitely did not leave it feeling heavy. My skin did feel moisturized when I used it.

Would I purchase this again? possibly for the winter time. I do prefer the Lala Retro™ Whipped Cream as a moisturizer, since my skin is not extremely dry probably don’t need both. I would definitely use this in combo with Lala Retro™ Whipped Cream during the winter but not sure if its worth the price.

Full size sheer 90ML retails for $34 / Full size tinted 60ML retails for $36

First impression: Both the tinted and sheer has the same consistency. After trying out both I do prefer the tinted one it blends into the skin without leaving white residue behind. the sheer one i did feel was a bit harder to blend it, when I did it in a hurry it did leave some white residue on my face. It does leave my face pretty shiny after using it so I do use a setting powder after applying the sunscreen

Will I purchase again? possibly, I not a big fan of how shiny it leaves my face, but this is my first time using a face sunscreen so I’m not sure if they are all like this? might try some other brands before I make my decision

Full size 30ML retails for $80

First impression: I really do love the way this feels. I think its too early to see if this is actually making a difference. I’d have to research the product I will keep using this unless I find something better.i

Will I purchase again? Probably not, I’d have to keep using it to see if it makes a difference

T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial™

Full size 50ml / 1.69 FL OZ retails for $80

First impression: When I first applied this I feel a light tingling sensation, I was afraid that this was going to burn and that my skin would not be able to tolerate it. After leaving it for 20 minutes I rinsed it off and applied the Marula oil. It was similar results after using the T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Night Serum for a couple of days

Will I purchase again? Yes! I really love how smooth it left my skin will probably be using it once a week.
