Linen Closet

Our linen closet was a disaster, everything was pretty much thrown in there and not really organized. I did attempt to organize it multiple times but the biggest mistake I made was that I never decluttered, I just shuffled all the items around and stacked them on top of each other.
First start with taking everything out of the linen closet and separate these items into three piles, keep donate or trash. Below I give you a few tips on how to decide which items to get rid of.
Once you have decided what items you are keeping, decide which of these items you want to store in the linen closet. I would suggest items you don’t use on a daily basis like extra skincare products, extra hair products, towels, and cleaning products.
Under the Sink
This area was another disaster in our bathroom, I would literally open the cabinet and throw whatever I was putting away in there and hoped that it did not bounce back out.
Just like with the linen closet, remove everything and separate these items into three piles, keep donate or trash.
I would suggest keeping items you use more frequently under your sink, like your makeup, hair tools, hair styling products.
I decided to keep my makeup, extra skincare products as well as some of my hair care products hair pins, headbands.

Counter
store only items you use on a daily basis on the counter, having way too many times will make the counter look messy and cluttered.
How to decide which items to get rid of by category
Trial sized bottles. I had a ton of travel size bottles, mostly because I kept forgetting what I already had and purchased more or free samples I received.
First go thru them and keep only the ones you will actually use, don’t keep the free sample you’ve had for over 2 years. Once you have decided which products you will actually use look at which products you have multiple set of. Any of the extras you have of the same items just start using them now, you really only need one set and by using the extras now these products are not going to waste.
Shaving/Hair removal products. Throw away any old razors that you forgot you had and other items that you don’t use.
First Aid Supplies. Go thru all your first aid and medicines to check for expiration date, and toss anything thats expired. Only keep items you will actually use.
Bathroom Cleaning Supplies. Go thru all your cleaning supply and toss any that you haven’t used. If you have multiple bottles of the same items, combine them if you can, if you cannot combine them put the one with the least amount of product in front.
