If your like me you probably have multiple to do list everywhere. I have to do list on sticky notes, notebooks, and even the notepad on my phone, but I rarely ever cross anything out of my to do list. I probably could get way more done if I got out of bed early, but until I become a morning person, (which will probably never happen) these apps have helped a ton.
I am always in search of new apps that help me be productive that are not complicated and don’t require a ton of time to learn. So far these three are my favorites.
1.Google Keep
I recently came across this app and its everything I’ve been looking for in an app for list. This is a list and note taking app, I mostly use it to make list. Its my go to app for my grocery list because you can cross off items easily as your going thru the grocery store shopping. You can also uncheck the items you previously crossed out, so if you usually buy the same items you can just uncheck it the next time instead of doing a brand new list. I usually have an ongoing grocery list as I notice items I’m running low on I add them to the list since I usually always have my phone on me.
I also use it to make wishlist whenever I come across things online I want to purchase in the future. Instead of doing a screenshot of the item which ends up getting lost in my pictures I have it all in one place with a list.
What I love about it
- Can color code each note
- Can add pictures to each note
- Can move the notes around in the order you want
- When you cross off an item from a list it does not delete it
- If you accidentally delete a note you can undo it
- Connected to your gmail account automatically syncs across your devices
Over all this app is great to make different list that don’t need to be completed on a certain date.
The one limit to this app is that you can’t make daily to do list by the date, well you could but you would have to keep moving the current date list to the front daily.
2.Planner Pro
This app is a daily calendar that you can add task, events and even take notes. I mostly use it to keep track of my daily to do list, plus seeing stuff crossed out on my to do list motivates me to get even more done. Theres both a free and paid version, I have the paid version ($4.99/yearly) because of the option to add reoccurring task or events.
What I love about it
- Can schedule an ongoing task either daily weekly monthly so you don’t have to add it to your to do list manually everyday
- If you didn’t finish your to do list from the previous day it carries over to the next day
- Can easily cross out completed items on your to do list without deleting the item
- Seeing items crossed out of my to do list motivates me to get more done
Although this app has multiple features, I really love it for the daily to-do list capabilities. I am a visual person so seeing things on my to-do list being crossed off really motivates me to do even more. I just wish all the features were free but at $4.99/month its pretty decent.
3.Evernote
Ive been using this app for a couple of years now, I started using it while I was in school. This app is designed for note taking, organizing, task lists, and archiving. Now I mostly use it to help me organize my blog and life. You can upload photo, make list, take notes and have each separate note under a different notebook I copy and paste different recipes I like.
What I love About it
- Can create different notebooks ( for example I currently have a Life and Blog notebook) and have different notes in each notebooks.
- Syncs across your devices (up to two device for free, unlimited if you upgrade to the premium version).
- Can add photos, links, make a task list.
I’d love to hear from you what your favorite app is to increase your productivity and get things done I’m always trying to find ways to maximize my time especially being a new mom.
