Since moving to Georgia from Florida where its practically summer all year long, I’ve had to adjust my skin care routine based on the season. In Florida my skin was always somewhat oily but never dry, well that completely changed when moving to Georgia. If I don’t switch up some of my products in the winter I am left with a very dry red unhappy face. So I thought I’d share with you a list of my favorite skincare products that I live by all winter long. Be sure to follow me on Instagram where I will share with you when I find these and many other items are on sale!
FACE
My two favorite go to in the winter for moisture is the Lala Retro Whipped Cream and the B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Gel. Both of these are from Drunk Elephant. I love that the whipped cream moisturizes my skin without looking shiny. The cream does look thick in the container but it feels very light once you have it on. I love that it doesn’t leave my face feeling or looking greasy. I mix it with the gel on especially colder winter days when my skin needs extra moisture. Those two are a match made in heaven!
Face Cleanser
My absolute favorite is the Green Clean Cleansing Balm from Farmacy. This Cleanser is marketed as a makeup remover but I found this to be perfect in the winter months it leaves my skin feeling soooo moisturized but not greasy.
LIP
This Burt Bees tinted Lip balm is a must have for me all year long. I love that it is tinted, I have it in the color Red Dhalia. I actually own at least 10 of them I keep them everywhere in the house, the car, my purses, the diaper bag… It does an amazing job at moisturizing without that yucky white film some lip balm and lip gloss leave.
HANDS
Whether its winter spring summer or fall my hands are always extremely dry, yup I’m one of those lucky people. So when I I fount the hemp hand protector from the body shop I was so excited!!!!! It does not leave my hands too greasy and does not just coat my hands. It keeps it moisturized until I wash my hands. Its not cheap about $20 a tube but if you suffer from dry hands like me its soooo worth. Plus body shop does have sales all the time and they end up being 50% off. BODY
You know how when you walk in LUSH store “just to look” and end up walking out with a bag full of stuff, well that’s how I discovered this scrub. I really only went in just to look this time, but then the sales associate asked me if I wanted to try scrubee and of course I said yes and well now I buy three at time…. When I am on my last one I go to the mall just for that! Its to the point that I know exactly next to which department store to park by to be the closest to LUSH. What I love about this is that I don’t have to use lotion after using it, its a two in one; it scrubs and moisturizes and it smells AMAZING. It does leave a bit of greasiness behind from the Shea butter which some people might not like, but that eventually gets absorbed in your skin and I don’t mind because I have VERY dry skin. You can get yours HERE.
